President’s perspective
Membership, Membership, Membership
Ted Noe

I n the last Georgia Builder edition I talked about the benefits of membership and the entire issue was a testimony to what your benefits are for being a member. I spelled out the importance of membership and recruitment in the last three of my columns, so now it the time to put all that wisdom to work and bring in new members. Remember my motto, “Everyone Bring One”, and we can grow this group back to where we once were as an association. As always, there are issues that come up and we, as members of the state HBA, take a proactive stance to address your concerns. Over the last few months I have been visiting local associations around the state and I ask each and every member what staff and senior officers of HBAG can do to help. We have our team visiting and discussing Regulatory and Governmental affairs with each association and so far the feedback has been very positive. We are fine tuning this presentation so as not to make your meetings unduly long. If any group would like us to come to your meetings let Kelly Lass or me know and we will be sure to get you on the calendar. Since we are starting a new cycle for license renewal and continuing education, it is important for you to know that by attending your local association business meeting you can receive ½ credit hour towards the requirements. It will be up to the local association and each individual builder to keep up with the necessary forms. If you have any questions about this, please contact Kelly or me and we can explain how it works. HBAG is currently at around 3,236 members and growing. Let’s give it a hand and “Everyone Bring One” new member. o
