around 9am. Agents receive a sponsored goody bag filled with promotional items, snacks and information from the builder participants as they board the charter bus. Once on the bus, they are treated to some lively entertainment, fun games en route to each location, and a very large cooler of the day’s signature cocktail. Each stop on the SAM Tram showcases a different builder and/or community. The bus pulls up in front of each featured new home and unloads the lively group of agents. They make their way inside and are greeted by the builder’s team and a spread of food and beverage options. An early stop may offer a Bloody Mary bar, and the last couple of stops help ease agents back into their afternoon work day with offerings like bottled iced coffee. The agents tour the home and learn about the builder and community. At least one lucky agent wins a prize worth at least $100 before boarding the bus to head to the next stop, but the builders collectively make sure no agent leaves empty handed. The success of the SAM Tram has grown over time. Each SAM Tram is more successful than the last, as evidenced by the social media buzz during and following the SAM Tram. Builders get the opportunity to host (and spoil) 50-60 agents in their home, and agents are able to learn about an areas new home options in a relaxed and fun way. The value is great for builders versus marketing and hosting an individual event, and the agents are able to effortlessly tour multiple new home communities in only half of a day. Games, camaraderie, and prizes make it even more worthwhile for the agents, and of course, the signature cocktail doesn’t hurt either. It is Savannah after all, y’all. o
