The Home Builders Association of Georgia has sworn Neal Davis from Newnan, Georgia in as 2015-2016 president. At a ceremony attended by HBAG members from across the state at the fall board meeting, Davis officially took over the reins of leadership of our organization.
An industry professional for almost 20 years, Davis graduated from The University of South Carolina, but did not join the homebuilding industry until after his service in the Marine Corps, which included action in Operation Desert Storm.
Davis is licensed for both residential and light commercial construction, but his heart is where the homebuilders are. His company, Neal Davis Homes, LLC., specializes in custom homes, home additions, and accessible structures & remodeling. In 2006, he was voted Metro-Brokers/GMAC Builder of the Year. In 2012, Davis became very involved in his local association –the Greater Atlanta HBA –when he served as president and was awarded the HBAG President’s Award. That same year, Davis served on the IRC Review Board and additionally served the Office of the Georgia Secretary of State by helping develop the contractor examinations for the state of Georgia. Other career highlights include receiving the 2013 Greater Atlanta HBA Builder of the Year Award from his local association, where he is now a Life Director, and being named the 2014 HBAG Builder Member of the Year.
Davis indeed has the work ethic of a Marine, balancing his business affairs, participation in local and state HBA, and family life. Neal has been married to his wife, Pam, for nearly 20 years and enjoys spending time with his daughter, Sara-Anne.
Some of the goals Davis has over the course of his year as president include improving the communication efforts of HBAG to reflect the strong association we have become. As we look forward to a year under the capable leadership of Neal Davis, we welcome him as our next president. Welcome, Neal! o
