“The Home Builders Association of Georgia is looking forward to the opportunity to be part of the Builder Remodeler Expo,” said HBAG Executive Vice President Kelly Lass. “This is an ideal location for HBAG members throughout the state to meet and connect with manufacturers and suppliers, learn about new products, and obtain educational credits all in just 2 days, and under one roof.”
The trade event is designed specifically to address the needs of the region’s residential building industry. BRE is set to be one of the largest events on the East Coast, covering all aspects of the residential construction and remodeling industry. The trade event will target attendees from up and down the coast.
The building industry, along with major manufacturers, are eager to have an Atlanta tradeshow to address the increased demand in residential construction. BRE will offer the opportunity to meet and network with manufacturers and suppliers, discover new products and services , and receive high quality educational training, all under one roof.
Atlanta, the business capital of the Southeast, was chosen to host BRE because of its easy access, low cost of participating in trade shows and high concentration of builders. The last builder trade show in Atlanta was over 10 years ago, therefore the demand is strong for a new show that serves all east coast builders.
The building and remodeling marketplace represents billions of dollars in annual spending provided by thousands of suppliers and tens of thousands of builders and remodelers. As the market is continuing to increase, the East Coast region is seeing a significant rebound in home sales and residential construction since the 2008 economic market crash.
Atlanta, Georgia is viewed as a major business center with world class facilities, international travel capabilities and a large supply of potential exhibitors, builders and remodelers to support a new tradeshow. The exhibitors represent every major product category of building materials, appliances, flooring, lighting, kitchen bath and outdoor products. Attendance is expected to top 5,000 which will represent the largest builder show in Atlanta in the last 10 years.
“The builders, remodelers, kitchen bath professionals, architects, designers and the specialized contractors on the east coast are very happy to have a conference program and expo closer to home”, reports Verne Packer, the event organizer. Research indicates many suppliers and builders are not interested in traveling across the country for a tradeshow, forcing them to spend time away from their businesses, while also undertaking overall costs. As the market is turning around, these regional builders would rather stay close to home and develop an exhibition that better suits their overall needs.
The past economic recession dramatically reduced new home construction. Home builders determined to stay in business, had to revert to remodeling and repairs of existing homes or were forced to go out of business. Over the past five years, those who successfully lasted through the crisis now have well established remodeling companies as they re-launch their former home construction businesses. Manufacturers want access to these builders in an environment where they can do face-to-face business. This provides a much larger supplier base to the east coast, offering builders a variety of new products and services to help increase work efficiency.
The Builder Remodeler Expo (BRE) is set to create a platform for innovation and education across the vast spectrum of the residential building and remodeling industry. For additional information visit www.builderremodelerexpo.com.o
