Georgia Home Builders Support HomeAid Atlanta

HomeAid kicked off a busy summer with its annual Housing the Homeless Golf Tournament and a Dedication Ceremony for a new apartment building at Phoenix Pass.

The Housing the Homeless Golf Tournament took place on June 6, 2016 at historic East Lake Golf Club. The day was a great success, thanks to all players and the following golf sponsors who are advocates for HomeAid Atlanta’s work: Presenting Sponsor -McMichael & Gray, Attorneys at Law; Lunch Sponsor -The Frye Team | Keller Williams Atlanta Perimeter; Shirt Sponsor -O’Kelley & Sorohan, Attorneys at Law LLC; Beverage Sponsor –Paran Homes; Goodie Bag Sponsor -Weissman, Nowack, Curry & Wilco; Leaderboard Sponsor –South Haven Builders; Golf Ball Sponsor –O’Dwyer Properties; Table Sponsor –Norboard; Photography Sponsor –Northwest Exterminating; Friend Sponsor –HomeTeam Pest Defense.

On June 10, HomeAid celebrated the completion of a second apartment building at Phoenix Pass in Conyers with a Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Phoenix Pass is a long-term transitional housing complex serving women with children, who are experiencing temporary homelessness in the Conyers/Rockdale County community. The new eight-unit apartment building, built under the guidance of HomeAid Builder Captain John Cooper of Cooper Homes, enables Phoenix Pass meet the needs of more families as they strive to reestablish self-sufficiency in a residential setting. HomeAid Atlanta worked with Phoenix Pass to complete the first eight-unit apartment building and light house shaped community center in 2010.

HomeAid Atlanta is grateful for the support of Georgia’s home building industry, which enables HomeAid to meet its mission to build new lives for homeless families and individuals through housing and community outreach.
