president’s perspective
It Has Been A Pleasure

The 60th anniversary year of the Home Builders Association of Georgia has come to an end and with it, my service to you as your President for the 2015-2016 term. It has been a pleasure to serve the Home Builders Association of Georgia in various capacities over the last several years but serving as its president has been one of my greatest honors.

The goals I set forth in October of 2015 for my term have been accomplished. With your help and guidance we now have a new website that is controlled by our full time staff members. They now have the ability to update the site 24/7 in house which allows them to keep the site updated with fresh information. Timely updates of RAC and GAC issues can be found there for your use with the latest information available.

The Homebuilders Association of Georgia has a new logo. The members of the Home Builders Association of Georgia represent a powerful economic engine. That fact brings clout to the arenas that we occasionally find ourselves and our new logo better reflects who we are, what we do and how long we have been doing it.

Georgia Builder magazine has also been revamped to include our new logo and has been co-branded with the colors of the logo. The quality of the pages used in the magazine have been changed to a heavier stock in an attempt to distinguish the magazine from similar publications. It is published in electronic format and is available online at our new website.

The Home Builders Association of Georgia has entered into an agreement with the East Coast Builders Conference (ECBC) to endorse next year’s show at the Cobb Galleria. This agreement should be a good revenue stream for the Home Builders Association of Georgia and the local associations. Our Spring Board meeting will take place in conjunction with the show and I encourage all of you to attend the ECBC and to come to our 2016 Spring Board meeting.

As a proud member of the Home Builders Association of Georgia, I want to thank each and every one of you for allowing me to serve as its president. I want to the especially thank the senior officers and a few past presidents for their time, advice and good will during my time of service. There are few finer people in this world than these.

Semper Fidelis, Neal Daniel Davis
