September Meeting: On September 12th, the High Country Builders Association monthly meeting was held. Members received a report that the chapter recently held a golf tournament and yielded revenue to the association in the amount of $13,000. The meeting was held at United Community Bank in Ellijay and was sponsored by The Southern Agency, Inc. The builders learned emerging techniques in insuring their business. The discussion was titled “Insurance and Risk Management Techniques for the Georgia General Contractor.” Each builder member earned CE credits for attending.

October Meeting: The Georgia High Country BA had several presentations at the October general membership meeting. HBAG Executive VP Kelly Lass presented an award recognizing Phil Forest for his life-long commitment to the building industry. During the presentation, it was noted that Phil has the reputation as "a walking encyclopedia of the building industry". The NAHB delivered a proclamation honoring Phil.
