HomeAid Atlanta is the designated charity of the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association with a mission to build new lives for homeless families and individuals

through housing and community outreach. HomeAid is proud to announce its 2016 Builder of the Year, Trade Partner of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year, awarded during the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association’s Installation and Awards Program in January. Each winner exhibited selfless dedication to HomeAid’s mission and gave generously of their time and resources. These 2016 award winners are integral to the success of HomeAid’s mission:

•• 2016 Trade Partner of the Year –Sherwin-Williams

•• 2016 Volunteer of the Year –Professional Women in Building-Atlanta Chapter

On March 10, HomeAid celebrated the dedication of the Spring Street Affordable Home at Family Promise of Hall County in Gainesville, donated by HomeAid Builder Captain Jim Chapman (Jim Chapman Communities and Jim Chapman Fine Homes). This home will provide housing for Family Promise’s Next Step Program, a 90-day program for families seeking independence as they transition out of homelessness.

HomeAid’s 16th annual Essentials Drive to help homeless babies takes place May 1 -May 9. The Drive collects diapers, wipes, and other baby items in partnership with the home building community. All items are donated to area shelters. There are multiple locations to drop off donations. Visit our website for the location nearest to you.

On June 5, HomeAid’s Housing the Homeless Golf Tournament returns to historic East Lake Golf Club. Registration is currently open and sponsorships are available for this special event with a purpose. This is HomeAid’s major annual fund-raiser and proceeds go directly to support HomeAid’s mission.
